PROPERTIES AND REAL ESTATE IN KOS
Kos one of the most beautiful Dodecanese islands at
the East Aegean is one of the most visited after Rhodes ,its nature
beauty and its rich history and monuments from all the periods of
the Greek history attract tourist from all the world.Kos was home of
Hippocrates ,the ruins of his medical school Asklepeion are not far
from Kos town. Inside Kos the ruins of the ancient city are in
harmony with the well maintained middle age Venetian Castle. Places
of interest are Kefalas and Mastihari from where you can get to
Kalymnos and Leros in less the 1 hour.Kos is ideal for small daily
excursions to the neighbouring islands of Kalymnos and Patmos as
well as Rhodes. Daily flights and Ferries connecting Kos with Athens
and all the Dodecanese islands. We have several properties in Kos at
Mastihari and Kefalos. The island of Kos is part of a mountain chain
which broke away after an earthquake and collapse that occurred in
ancient times. These include mountains and Kappari Kalymnos, which
are separated by a crack underwater for more than 70 meters deep, as
well as the volcano of Nisyros in the surrounding islands.
There are a wide variety of rocks associated with the geographical
formation of the island. Among these are highlighted Quaternary
strata where they have found fossils of mammals such as horses,
elephants and hippos. A fossil of an elephant molar of gigantic
proportions set out in Palaeontology Museum at the University of
Athens.
The shores of the island of Kos are bathed by the Karpathian sea .
Its coasts are 112 km long, and are covered by unpolluted beaches,
making tourism the main industry in the area. The crop is the main
occupation of many inhabitants of the island, being the principal
grapes, almonds, figs, olives and tomatoes, along with wheat and
corn. The Kos lettuce can grow on the island, but the name has no
bearing on it.
MASTIHARI: The luxury house is built in a 7.000 m2 piece of
land, surrounded by a wonderful garden and a fabulous vineyard,
overlooking Kalymnos island and the Aegean.
It is located 5km outside Mastihari. The distance from the sea is
only 50m.
The house plans were made based on the owner’s vision with the aim
to have the wonderful view of the sea from every corner of the
house.
The house has three (3) floors and each one has each own character.
At the top floor, the master bedbroom is located. The area has its
own bathroom which is characterised by the blue colour and the
hydro-massage. A desk, together with the warmth of the fireplace and
the sofa complete the decoration of the floor.
In the ground floor, there is the living room, which with little
furniture has combined the classic Aegean style with the modern and
comfortable. At the same floor, the kitchen and dining areas are
found which are built in such a way in order to cover all needs and
provide ease of use.
The rest of the floor is divided in two bedrooms which are coloured
light green and light blue. Both bedrooms have access to large
balconies overlooking the beach. There is also a fully equipped
bathroom and a WC.
At the basement there is a 50 m2 area that allows you to use more
fantasy and to improvise, creating either one more bedroom, since
this area has also its private bathroom, or a space that will cover
other needs of entertainment or relaxation. On the same floor there
is also storage space for better organisation of the house.
Finally, all areas have access to balconies with unique furniture.
All balconies have a view of the garden, of the vineyard and
naturally, of the sea. Outside, there is the barbeque with its own
dining area, ready to provide unique moments of taste.
